The BMW X5 costs between £41,000 and £79,000 depending on what model and extras you decide to purchase. The BMW x5 is a luxury car so if you have the money you can get yourself an exclusive and luxurious 7 Seater car.
BMW X5 - Servicing
A full service for an BMW x5 can cost as little as £147.71 with £70.99 for an interim service. A full MOT and service is approximately £165.00. This is based on the 3 Litre Diesel model. However this figure has been taken from a national discount car service provider so the actual cost may vary locally.

BMW x5- Miles Per Gallon (MPG)
The BMW x5 most economical model is the X5 xDrive 30d SE. This model does an average of 34.4 miles to the gallon, which shouldn't technically be called economical! However when you compare the x5 xDrive 48i M Sport version that only does a 23.3 miles to the gallon it is the more economical version.
With 4.54 litres per gallon (£1.12 per litre of diesel and £1.09 per litre for petrol), it will cost you quite a lot of money to do very few miles. Diesel is more economical than Petrol by approximately 10 miles to the gallon however this does the delay getting to 62mph by 2 seconds.
A full tank of fuel (100 litres) will cost £112 with the diesel BMW x5 and £109 with the petrol BMW X5.
BMW x5 - Colour
The BMW x5 is available in about 10 colours that range from alpine white to titanium silver metallic. They are all dark, black, blue or grey shades.
BMW x5 - horsepower
The BMW X5 xDrive48i SE model has a power output of 355 horsepower. This is the highest output currently available in the X5 range. The lowest output for the x5 range is the xDrive 30d SE model with only 235hp.
BMW x5 - Insurance Groups
Depending on what type of BMW x5 you purchase the insurance group varies between 17 and 20. There are 20 insurance groups in total making the BMW x5 one of the most expensive cars to insure. This is inline with the Audi Q7.
Conclusion
Despite the extra expense in insurance, car tax, initial purchase and ongoing running costs I would still love to own a BMW x 5. They have an air of masculinity which contributes to their mass attraction.
